How did you find out about Get Loose?
I found out about the shop through an email from Growing Communities, I was looking for somewhere amazing where people cared about the environment, and food, and each other, and found Get Loose, which does all this and more!
What is your role and what does it involve?
I am the new(ish) Assistant Manager and Volunteer Coordinator, helping out three days a week, running the shop and making sure all the volunteers are happy. I also enjoy dreaming up the radical plans and exciting developments that may be on the horizon.
Why do you love Get Loose?
Too many reasons why I love Get Loose!!! I love the positivity, and enthusiasm people have for it, I love the sense of community and working together on something we all believe in. I love the farm, and of course the ethos of the shop. I spend a lot of my time at work in total awe as to the amazingness of the volunteers, staff, customers and the ideas everyone has to change the food system and make the world a better place.
What is your favourite product and why?
My favourite product has to be a toss up between the chocolate spread, and the marrowfat peas, which recently found out you can plant to make pea shoots!! I also have a massive soft spot for the Bath soft cheese and beetroot in a jar... so basically everything! :))
If you could promote Get Loose on Tube advert what would you say?
My advert would be a picture of my marrowfat pea shoots, with the caption 'Join the future, Get Loose Foods!'
