How did you find out about Get Loose?

When I moved to London I wanted to find somewhere I could shop package-free, and it turned out Get Loose was my local. I was excited to see all the products and even more so to discover I could volunteer!

What is your role and what does it involve?

For the most part I am behind the till when I volunteer. While fitting in other tasks (like making signs, re-stocking and tidying/cleaning) while the shop is quiet. A big part of the role is talking to customers – informing people about Get Loose products, about any shop changes, as well as sometimes about the farm and café.

Why do you love Get Loose?

I love the whole ethos of Get Loose – how it came to be, its size (the actual shop and its handmade furnishings) but also its friendliness / community and the difference it is making for the environment.

Why do you enjoy volunteering?

I love volunteering at Get Loose because of the infectious energy of everyone involved – I am buoyed each time I do a shift that there are people out there who care, and anything is possible when we come together.

What is your favourite product and why?

I think my most bought product would be oats and muesli (makes the best bircher muesli!) I also love the chocolate gingerbread.

If you could promote Get Loose on Tube advert what would you say?

Get Loose – all round friendly: for the environment, and the community it builds.
