How did you find out about Get Loose?

I came in looking for the pottery class at Hackney City Farm and stumbled upon Get Loose on the way out, I thought it looked like such a great little thing, and I bought a jar of vegan Mozzarella to try.

What is your role and what does it involve?

I'm a regular volunteer at Get Loose, I do one shift a week and that usually involves being behind the till, chatting to customers, sifting lentils, making handmade signs, or restocking the produce. During lockdown (part 1), a whole lot of bagging and sorting.

Why do you love Get Loose?

I think it's the way forward for sustainable zero waste and organic food shopping, it's unbelievably convenient and so friendly and by shopping there it gives you an excellent sense of achievement through changing your ordinary, perhaps less environmentally conscious habits. It's a haven for the future.

Why do you enjoy volunteering?

Because I work in the music industry as an artist, there's often a lot of spare time at home when I'm in the writing/recording process, or I'm not touring. I've always done some form of  volunteering to keep me busy and productive and to help people out, but Get Loose is by far my favourite. It doesn't feel like you're working at all and it's a real pleasure to be a part of something so good.

What is your Favourite product and why?

I personally love the 'crack nuts' aka. Honey roasted almonds because they're unbelievably tasty and ever-addictive. Also the new purple tote bags!

If you could promote Get Loose on Tube advert what would you say?

Get Loose, Get Shaky, Get zero wasty.
