Why did you get involved?

I was introduced to Jacki by a friend, around a year ago, she brought me to the shop. I loved the concept and realised I needed it both as a shop, and a way of living. Being involved in the shop has changed my life; looking at ingredients and origin more closely, producers and production methods, refilling everything!

What do you do for Get Goose?

I feel that I am now part of the community. It has introduced me to an active lifestyle and ethical values. Part of this alive breathing community. A soil for something new to grow. My role is making sure it is visually seen through social media and posters. Aesthetically and ideologically attractive. I enjoy drawing and was inspired to create hand drawn posters to enhance the shop, and these fit the shop values.

Jar Bank 2.0 C.jpg

What do you enjoy most about volunteering for the shop?

Making the posters for the shop. This process has re-ignited my passion for drawing.

Also watching the jar bank develop and grow. Feels like my baby. Enjoy seeing the bottles, especially, help increase sales of liquids. Born out of having no bottle for what I wanted to buy myself!

What is your favourite product or products?

Dried mango and honeyed almonds. Very pleased about the egg supplier too.

Love being able to refill my household cleaning products.

How would you describe Get Loose in a tube advert?

I would make not a tube but a bike board or a little bike flag with the Get Loose bean and a slogan “Trading goods for the earth and communities. Forever.”
